Summer brings sunshine, flowers, water play and lots of crafty inspiration for toddlers.

From painting a picture of the sun and gorgeous nature in the garden to creating a collage of things they find in the garden, there’s so many summer-themed activities you can do with your toddler.

I’ve put together a list of my favourite summer-themed toddler crafts for you to do with your little one.

I love paper plate crafts! There’s minimal need for scissors and there is so much you can do with just a simple paper plate!

This paper plate fish is the perfect way to celebrate summer days at the beach.

Toilet paper roll crafts are brilliant because you gather the materials you need from your own recycling bin!

You can get really creative with toilet rolls in summer, from making a row of colourful beach huts using pastel paints to making a toilet roll fish.

This idea is genius and I just love it! Get some masking tape and create lots of different shapes within a square or rectangular space.

Then give your child some colourful pieces of chalk and let them draw within the spaces the masking tape has created.

You could do this on the side of your shed, on the fence or on the patio outside your home!

If your toddler’s co-ordination with paint isn’t great you may need to give them a helping hand with little details like the face but they can paint the whole rock red or yellow and add the dots.

This is the perfect idea for a hot summer day, although it may make your toddler ask for a real popsicle when they’re done!
